Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities – Tucson AZ (CARF) is an accrediting organization that evaluates agencies through a peer review process that demonstrates to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its services are of the highest quality. Crossroads of Western Iowa is accredited by CARF International in the following areas: Community Integration Services, Employee Development Services, Employment Planning Services, Community Employment Services and Organizational Employment Services. Crossroads of Western Iowa was awarded the highest possible accreditation in December of 2007. This premier award is for three years.

A few of the strengths revealed during the recent CARF survey were:

• The core values of the organization are reflected in all aspects of its business
• Staff is excellent and has a long tenure
• Organization is very proactive in creating excellent working environments for staff and consumers
• Crossroads is proactive in meeting needs and has grown progressively and responsibly
• There is a clear correlation between the desired outcomes of the consumer and the goals established in their person centered plan
• Those consumers who desire community employment are aided in developing the skills to prepare them for their community job
• Consumers in Work Services enjoy their jobs and are proud of the work they do
• Employers in the area do not hesitate to contact Crossroads about future job openings
• The adult habilitation program has been restructured to offer a variety of programs. Persons served find these changes very beneficial in meeting their personal goals
